KENYA: Helping School Children in the Rift Valley

The Situation - July 2023

Around 30 school-aged children living in Kiserian, a small village in the mountains outside of Nairobi, were in need of school supplies. Even if there were funds to provide the goods, with no motor vehicles and no stores selling the supplies anywhere in walking distance, they aren’t available to these Maasai people. 

The Positive Outcome

G2 GIVE GLOBAL delivered 30 pounds of school supplies, crafts, and games to these children, and also immersed themselves in the culture, learning about traditional beading, sports, dancing, and more.  The hour-long walks to the school are sure to be made better by these exciting new activities and school supplies!

G2 GIVE GLOBAL volunteers were able to watch a performance given by the children, although no pictures were taken of the children out of respect.
